Julie Appolloni March

Deputy Director of Development

Julie Appolloni March is the Deputy Director of Development at the Alliance for Decision Education.

For over 25 years, Julie has worked in nearly every facet of institutional advancement and development, helping nonprofit organizations in the fields of education, social services, and arts and culture achieve their fullest potential.

While at The Franklin Institute as Director of Individual Giving and then Vice President of Development, Julie helped lead and close a transformational capital campaign and lead gift and grew the annual support base by 22%. As Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, she continued to manage $1 million+ giving relationships, led enterprise-wide strategic and vision planning, annual goal setting, Board of Trustee relations, executive communications, employee culture initiatives, strategic partnerships, and served as a lead advisor to the President and CEO on all matters. With a particular expertise on major and principal giving, her previous advancement experience includes annual individual and corporate giving, sponsorships, events, foundation giving and relations, third-party and cause marketing, and Board and volunteer management.

Julie has worked for organizations such as the University of Massachusetts, Endicott College, University of New Hampshire, American Red Cross, City Year of Greater Philadelphia, The Franklin Institute, ACCT Philadelphia, Norwood Fontbonne Academy, and The Fund for The School District of Philadelphia. She received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and lives in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania with her husband, their children, and their mischievous labradoodle, Charlie.
