Suzanne Kecmer has a distinguished track record with 25 years of experience building large-scale next generation capability within the global aerospace and defense industry through acquisitions, partnerships and other investment vehicles. She is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SKB Capital, LLC, a strategic advisory and private investment banking practice for firms in non-traditional advanced technologies based in Alexandria, Virginia. In this and previous roles, she has focused on strategic repositioning and portfolio shaping of companies within markets such as information science, space control, optics, blockchain/secure contracts, electric vehicles and indoor farming. Previously, she was Vice President at Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI) and focused on the commercialization of its distributed live exercise software, the DECIDETM platform, funded by the Department of Homeland Security to concentrate on cyber security for critical infrastructure. She has also held positions at Teneo Capital, KippsDeSanto & Co., Raytheon Company, and Merrill Lynch Equity Research Department.

Kecmer was a contributing author of Mission Matters: World’s Leading Entrepreneurs Reveal Their Top Tips to Success (Business Leaders Vol.5). She was honored by Newark Academy as a “Woman of Distinction” in 2018 for her contributions to the defense industry and to the community.

Kecmer holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Lafayette College as well as an M.B.A. from Columbia University. She was recently a Professor at California University of  Management and Science. She holds FINRA Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses. She is a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC Member FINRA/SIPC. Kecmer is currently a Board Member, and was previously Secretary, of Community Tax Aid D.C.
