Michael J. Mauboussin is Head of Consilient Research at Counterpoint Global, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, with more than 35 years of industry experience.

Previously, he was the Director of Research at BlueMountain Capital and Head of Global Financial Strategies and Chief Investment Strategist at Credit Suisse. He also served as Chief Investment Strategist at Legg Mason Capital Management.

Michael is the author of three widely popular books: The Success Equation: Untangling Skill and Luck in Business, Sports, and Investing; Think Twice: Harnessing the Power of Counterintuition; and More Than You Know: Finding Financial Wisdom in Unconventional Places. He also co-authored Expectations Investing: Reading Stock Prices for Better Returns with Alfred Rappaport.

He serves as adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Business School and is on the faculty of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham and Dodd Investing.
