Julia Lennox, Ed.D.
Education Growth Initiatives Manager
Dr. Julia Lennox is the Education Growth Initiatives Manager at the Alliance for Decision Education. She has more than a decade of experience as a social studies educator and is passionate about empowering students and educators with essential media literacy skills across disciplines and grade levels.
Before joining the Alliance, Julia served as the Director of Digital Inquiry and Youth Voice at Pennon Education, where she led initiatives focused on media literacy instruction and student content creation. She has taught secondary social studies and developed a range of curricula designed to help students critically evaluate information in a rapidly evolving media environment.
Julia earned her B.A. in History and M.A.T. in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her Doctorate in Education at West Chester University, where her research examined how integrating media literacy in the classroom may impact students’ abilities to navigate and assess digital sources.
Julia lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Jim, and their dog, Leroy. She enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her family.
