John Rison

John Rison is the Head of Technology at the Alliance for Decision Education. He brings more than 25 years of experience helping schools and mission-driven organizations make thoughtful decisions about technology, including 18 years as Chief Technology Officer at Abington Friends School.

John’s work spans technology strategy, cybersecurity, data systems, organizational change, and responsible artificial intelligence. He believes technology should solve real problems and make people’s work easier. Because the field never stops changing, he sees continuous learning as essential to good technology leadership.

John lives in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Roseanne, their blended family of five children, and their dog, Remy. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, and thinking about the complicated, and occasionally absurd, relationship between people and technology.
