David Ushery has spent decades connecting with audiences and building trust. With more than 30 years of storytelling experience, Ushery is an integral member of the NBC4 New York news team, currently anchoring the 4pm, 7pm, and 11pm newscasts. He has covered many of the largest and most visible breaking news stories, such as COVID-19, 9/11 and unrest following the killing of George Floyd. He has also represented NBCUniversal in national initiatives. He hosted the network’s special program on its switch to digital, as well as “Going Green at Any Age” which examined ways to help the environment. The Emmy Award-winner has been recognized for his contributions to the community by the National Association of Black Journalists, the New York Urban League, and the Archdiocese of New York.
