Celia Litovsky, Ph.D.

Deputy Director of Evaluation, Impact and Research

Celia Litovsky is the Deputy Director of Evaluation, Impact and Research at the Alliance for Decision Education. Celia brings over 15 years of experience as a cognitive psychology and neuroscience researcher and educator to her work at the Alliance.

Most recently, she served as a Research Scientist at Lexia, where she evaluated the efficacy of educational technology programs used by millions of K-12 students. She is also a dedicated volunteer, teaching math, reading, psychology, and neuroscience to incarcerated students through the Villanova University Program at SCI Phoenix and the Petey Greene Program at the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center. As a graduate student, she also led prison-based education and evaluation programs through the nonprofit organization From Prison Cells to PhD.

Celia holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester. She lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband, a goofy beagle-pit bull mix named Theo, and a sweet, gentle cat named Layla. She loves knitting, kayaking, and catching up with friends over tea.
