Eligibility
Grant Size and Duration
- Grants will typically be awarded for up to $200,000 and we may consider larger requests in special circumstances. Grants exceeding $100,000 will be highly encouraged to include a pilot study, unless the study design does not necessitate one. Grants should range in duration from 12 to 24 months.
- Total funding may include a maximum overhead rate of 10%.
- Grant submissions will be reviewed by members of an External Review Board.
- If you have a project idea that would require more than $200,000 of funding or exceed 24 months, please contact us at research@alliancefordecisioneducation.org before submitting an LOI. We are particularly interested in projects that have the potential to develop into longitudinal studies.
Intellectual Property and Open Access
- Intellectual property produced with charitable funds must serve a charitable purpose.
- The grantee retains the copyright for all published materials.
- We encourage all grantees to make peer-reviewed research publications available on an Open Access basis whenever possible. The grantee should include these costs in their budget.
